The Tsunami Surfers play instrumental Surf Music and sing old time Rock n' Roll songs that were popular during the fifties and sixties.
The Tsunami Surfers focus on songs originally recorded by bands such as Dick Dale & the Dell Tones, The Ventures, the Bel Airs and the Chantay's in the early 1960's. During that time period surf music became extremely popular and lasted until the British invasion in 1964. It still remains the iconic music of California's coastal communities and beaches.
Along with instrumental surf music, the band plays and sings a variety of Rock n' Roll songs that were recorded by artists like Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Ricky Nelson and many more.
Being located in Bakersfield California, the west coast home of Country Music, The Tsunami Surfers, keeping with the theme of the fifties and sixties also accommodate the Country Music fans with a few hit songs recorded by Merle Haggard, Buck Owens and others.
